Stress and Anxiety

Anxiety is the reaction of your mind and body to unfamiliar, stressful, or dangerous situations and it can manifest in a multitude of ways, unique to each person. A little bit of stress and pressure can be beneficial as a motivator but when the scales start tipping in the wrong direction anxiety can start to take hold in a negative way.

 Anxiety symptoms can be incredibly debilitating, sneaking up on us gradually or hitting us like a brick!

 It’s a brave thing to recognise when we are no longer in control, and even braver when we seek help to regain what we have lost.

In 2019 the World Health Organisation estimated that approximately 301 million people suffered from an anxiety disorder across the world and 58 million of these were children and adolescents.

The great news is that anxiety and stress don’t have to rule us! You can take back control! You will learn how to recognise when your brain is over-reacting to every-day situations when it doesn’t need to, and how to bring that reaction under control and stay focused, bringing balance and calm to your mind and body.
